Sealogreen™ is a composite mat made of a layer of polypropylene geofabric as the bottom layer, a layer of perforated polypropylene dimple board as the center layer and top layer of copper hydroxide-impregnated geofabric.

This top layer is designed to create a root barrier from the plantings above to the system below. Sealogreen™ is laid over the Sealoflex CT System™ and performs a function of draining the soil layer as well as retaining water below the root level to feed the plant life with moisture during periods of little or no rainfall. The advantage of this system is that the soil in the root layer is never saturated which prevents root rot.

The SEALOGREEN™ Roof Garden System is used to provide drainage in the design of green roofs. The Sealogreen™ System provides the following important properties for successful green roof design:

• Provides good drainage to eliminate root rot;
• Includes a root barrier to protect against damage from roots;
• Incorporates water retention cups to provide necessary moisture vital to plant health;
• Provides protection to the waterproofing layer from physical damage.
