Tip 1

Identify your substrate and ensure that the surface is Clean, Dry and free of any loose or flaking coatings.

Tip 2

Select the Sealoflex system that is suited to your application taking into consideration weather conditions, Drainage and any priming requirements. Will it be a green roof ? Will it receive traffic or need to be a non skid finish?

Tip 3

Before commencing the application you can turn any new and unopened containers upside down which will cut down on mixing time when needed (CT especially)

Tip 4

If mixing mechanically always ensure this is done at slow speed keeping the paddle in the centre of container and not moving around. Do not entrain air into the product during mixing. Let the paddle do the work

Tip 5

During cold weather or if buckets have not been re sealed properly the Sealoflex CT can become thicker . You can thin down the product using White Spirit to a maximum of 10% and stir thoroughly as above .

Tip 6

When applying The CT System directly onto asphalt surfaces some staining can occur. This will not have any detrimental effect on the system but to avoid this prime prior to applying the CT with Sealoflex WB Pink at a rate of 0,2 litres per m2 and allow to dry

Tip 7

When applying Sealoflex products onto Single Ply roofing membranes it is advisable to do an adhesion test prior to applying the system . This will ensure that the system adheres to the substrate. Remember when laying over EPDMs and Hypalons you will need to use EPDM primer,

Tip 8

When possible apply fabric directly to the surface directly from the roll this will ensure that the correct side of the fabric is automatically facing up. This will ensure the easiest and most effective application. Keep all fabric clean and dry when not being used.

Tip 9

Reseal all containers when not in use as the product can be reused. Remember IF YOU DON’T USE IT YOU DON’T LOSE IT !

Tip 10

Take photos of your applications Should you wish to discuss any projects its easier to look at it than describe it .
